A new patch for the PC Version of Call of Duty was released today!
It will update your CoD4 Game from Version 1.6 to 1.7 and fixes the following things:
Quoted- Fixed an exploit that allowed players to access certain console dvars during multi-player matches.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when a Chinatown Sabotage match would go into over-time.
- Fixed a bug where the MP icons (Bomb, Defend, Capture, etc) were always showing up as English regardless of the install language.

Yesterday was announced at IAMfourzerotwo by Robert Bowling the Director of Communications.
At the 5th of june the new patch 1.6 will be released.
One big question is already answered, the new map pack will be free of costs.
His announcement:
QuotedGreat news! Heads up that the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Variety Map Pack sponsored by NVIDIA will be available worldwide for our PC players next week on June 5th!NVIDIA is making it possible for PC players to download the map pack for Free on the PC thanks to their sponsorship. In addition, expect to see quite a few promotions popping up leading up to the launch of the map packs on the 5th and beyond. I know NVIDIA has a lot of great things planned for PC users in addition to maps becoming available.
There’s going to be some PC specific previews going up online this weekend I believe that will cover how well the maps play on the PC version as well as some contests and promotions happening all next week. I’ll be posting up details on them as they get started all this week!
The Variety Map Pack includes four new maps for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare multiplayer including Broadcast, Chinatown, Killhouse, and Creek.
In addition to the map pack hitting, PC Players will be receiving the 1.6 Patch for the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that will add support for the new maps, fix a server crash exploit recently reported by the community, and a few additional features / bug fixes. I will post a full patch notes list next week.

Hooah Soldiers
Only six weeks after we introduced our stats-tracking system for Call of Duty 4 we finally have now more then 500 gameservers tracked!
That’s much more then we expected and makes us very happy! Thanks to all serveradmins that signed up their server for tracking and all the players that signed up and playing on tracked servers every day!
Sorry that it is a little bit silent here in the last days/weeks. We are still working here nearly every day, but the last days/weeks we were totally busy with code optimations and debugging. The very large number of stats that we track every day has already created several gigabytes of data and this caused a lot of laggs on the webserver by not optimized scripts and other stuff that created a very high load. We are making good progress and a lot of stuff should work better and faster now, but still a few things to fix and optimize before we can finally continue adding new stuff and features again. In the meantime … keep posting feedback and wishes in our forums, sign up your non-tracked gameservers, and spread the word about our website to your friends and people that don’t know about our website and services yet …
Thanks again and keep fraggin’
